The Austin High School Counseling Department is committed to supporting the academic success, career readiness, college planning, and social-emotional well-being of every student. In alignment with Austin Public Schools Core Values, we strive to create a safe, welcoming environment where all students feel seen, heard, and valued. We believe each student has unique talents and abilities, and we are dedicated to helping them discover their strengths, set meaningful goals, and build confident paths toward their future.

Vision Statement

The Austin High School Counseling Department envisions a safe, supportive school community where every student feels valued and empowered to grow. Our goal is that every student leaves with one of the three Es: enrolled, employed or enlisted. 

Our intention is to build confident, responsible, lifelong learners working towards Academic, Social, Emotional and Post-Secondary Career Readiness success.
